Description
Transparent and translucent opalescent milkglass; free-blown and mold-pressed, with gilded decoration; each piece has gilded rims and a wreath with daisy-like flowers alternating with tulips. (A) Coffee pot; pear-shaped body with solid ring base and lip turned upwards, ear-shaped handle and spout applied to body; set-in cover with ball finial. (B) Jug; pear-shaped body with solid ring base having rough pontil mark and with high lip; ear-shaped handle applied to body. (C) Sugar bowl; hemispherical body with solid ring base; set-in cover with ball finial. (D) Dish; flat bottom with up-turned walls and flattened rim. (E) Bowl; solid ring base supporting the body with slightly spreading walls and flattened rim. (F-I) Four cups with saucers; cup: deep waisted body with solid ring base and applied loop handle; saucer: solid ring base with spreading walls and flaring rim.
