Bowl. Transparent blue; many small bubbles. Blown in dip mold. Bowl: roughly hemispherical. Rim rounded, slightly inturned, and thickened on outside just below lip; wall curves down and in; base plain; pontil mark irregular, of green glass. Mold-blown decoration in low relief, beginning about 2 cm below lip and extending to center of base. Overall pattern of four horizontal rows of lozenges on wall that become more or less oval motifs on base (from top to bottom), arranged in quincunx: (1) six indistinct lozenges, each containing two concentric oval motifs; between each pair of lozenges, part of indeterminate motif; (2) six lozenges, each containing one small lozenge with oval depression at center; (3) six lozenges, each containing one small oval with oval depression at center; (4) six ovals, each containing one small oval with oval depression at center. Spaces between motifs in rows (3) and (4) are occupied by small lozenges, each with boss at center; center of base is occupied by star-shaped motif formed by lower borders of ovals in (4), surrounding concentric circle.
