Description
Colorless; with indigo, opaque red and opaque yellow (glasses), and white (copper wire); blown, picked up, cased. Bowl: roughly hemispherical. Rim plain, with rounded lip; wall descends almost vertically, then curves in; base plain; pontil mark circular (D. 2.6 cm) and rough. Glass has many small bubbles. Cased decoration consists of overall scatter of indigo specks and, on wall, one large irregular red patch with yellow spot and two areas of white transverse stripes (see REMARKS). Scratched signature on base: "BM 82".
