Description
Paperweight, "Cactus Botanical with Bulbs and Spirits". Colorless, green, white, purple, tan, yellow non-lead glasses; Flameworked and cased. Tall, solid object, with tapered straight rectangular sides and square top, rounded inward at the base; square bottom; enclosing a prickly pear cactus with blooms and fruit; emerging from a variegated "ground"; the root system with large tan balloon-like pods and figures of two people; below that, a variegated tan patch of ground, with two people and a cactus pad; inscribed on the sides (in script, vibrator tool) "Paul J. Stankard C50 1987".
