Candlestick. Colorless glass with grayish cast; blown, diamond-point engraved. Cylindrical socket with out folded rim strengthened by cast off thread; large merese (functioning as dripping pan) is joined to blown baluster stem above small, solid baluster-shaped glue bit, and merese; hollow bulb projects from center of blown, saucer shaped foot with out folded edge and pontil mark on base. Diamond point engraved foliage on socket, hollow knop, and foot; foot has running scroll of flowers and leaves on which four birds—two peacocks and two pheasants(?)—are perched. These are rendered in outline with rough hatching.
