Colorless glass, molded; aluminum finials, steel structure. The wall, or screen, was originally designed as a room divider for the Steuben showroom in New York City. Each row contains 17 triangular glass elements ("flowers") and 17 aluminum finials; there are 17 rows in total, therefore 289 glass elements and 289 aluminum finials in total. Each glass element weighs 3.6 pounds, for a total of 1,040 pounds of glass. Each glass element is screwed onto the steel structure; the join is covered by a triangular aluminum finial similar in shape to the glass element ("flower").
