Description
"Commemorative Corning Museum of Glass Paperweight". Colorless, green, red, white, blue, and yellow glass; millefiori technique, cased, cut, engraved. Globular paperweight showing a red, white, and blue millefiori mushroom cased in white and green glass. Center murrine of mushroom shows the Corning Glass Center gloryhole logo in blue and white with red lettering that reads, "SL / 1978". One murrine in second row of murrina shows the letter "L" in blue and white. Millefiori mushroom is viewable through seven circular facets cut in the white and green glass layers. Entire paperweight cased in colorless glass. Paperweight is inscribed, "TO DWIGHT P. LANMON COMMEMORATION EXHIBIT CORNING 1978 SL 1979" along bottom edge.
