Description
Industrial sheet glass, laminated, sandblasted, cut. Circular black sculpture with a ground undulating edge and a circular green and smoky grey disk inserted at the top edge.
Label Text
Lugossy takes industrial sheet glass, layers it, and glues it together before carving it with sandblasting and stoneworking tools. Her sculptures have an air of antiquity, and although they are abstract, they evoke the mineral formations, such as crystals and geodes, that Lugossy collects.
