Description
Transparent ruby non-lead glass; blown, gilt. (a) Tall, slightly tapered, cylindrical form; gilt rim, with gilt floral band below; the sides covered with elaborate gilt floral swags, with Chinoiserie landscapes in each swag; similar border below; flared foot rim with gilt band; deep conical kick on bottom, with rough ring pontil mark. (b) Double-domed form; elaborate gilt decoration matching that on (a); rounded rim and tapered, cylindrical brim; finial composed of a dumbbell above a flattened ball knop, diamond faceted, with gilt rings; rough pontil mark inside.
