Opaque red non-lead glass; blown, gilt, cut. (a) Cylindrical shape with stepped base; applied loop handle; elaborate gilt borders at top and bottom; continuous gilt Chinoiserie scene around the middle, with large chrysanthemum plant at the left, a moth above, and a dragon flying down on two cranes at right; ground base. (b) Low, domed shape with panel-cut, gilt finial; inset, tapered flange; gilt border matching (a), with scattered gilt flowers and a butterfly.
