Colorless. Blown and relief-cut. Fragment of vessel. Wall straight and vertical or nearly vertical. Exterior has relief-cut decoration: part of horizontal, and presumably continuous, band. At top, Kufic inscription with letters 0.9 cm high. Below this, occupying most of fragment, bird shown in profile facing left. Head has countersunk boss to indicate eye, beak, wattle, and triangular crest; neck is long and thin; only small parts of body and folded wing survive. Inscription and outline of birds body are notched; head, beak, wattle, and uppermost part of neck are hatched; rest of neck has row of drilled dots alternating with incised crosses, as does widest part of crest; body has drilled dots and wing has details indicated by broad cuts and narrow incisions.
