Description
Transparent light yellowish-green glass; few very small bubbles; blown, wheel- and facet-cut, engraved. Fragment from wall of hemispherical cup. Decorated on exterior with part of scene with figure or figures (intended to be viewed from inside) surrounded by horizontal band of seven concentric wheel-cut lines inside band of oval facets. Back of head and one shoulder of young male, who faces left; behind him, partly cut through band of horizontal lines, part of oval or possibly oval object: perhaps shield held by figure; in field between shoulder and horizontal band, small engraved motif.
