Description
Colorless non-lead glass; blown, cut, zwischengold glass medallions. Tall, tapered bowl with rounded base; elaborately engraved scroll-and-foliage frames surrounding two inset oval panels, each decorated in transparent colors with a putto, one holding a sheaf of grain, the other carrying a large bunch of fruit; band of polished oval facets at the base of the bowl; stem composed of an angular merese above a facet-cut flattened knop, a merese, a facet-cut inverted baluster, and a capstan at the base; circular foot with meandering foliate border engraved on the upper surface, and a ring of oval facets alternating with radial lines on the bottom; rough pontil mark.
