Description
Transparent pale grayish brown, transparent pale brownish yellow with brown and yellow spots and streaks, gray and colorless; blown with sandblasted and engraved glass inclusions; grayish brown parison overlaid and/or stained with brownish yellow, brown, yellow and gray; cased; rim finished at furnace. Vase: cylindrical. Rim plain, rounded, finished at furnace; wall tapers, descends almost vertically and curves inward at bottom; base flat, with cross-shaped pontil mark. Base and wall decorated with all over pattern of flowers with nine petals, each flower on long or shorter stem extending outward and upward from near center of base, with one or two narrow lancelet leaves at bottom; many bubbles of varying sizes in wall and base, most of which are surrounded by yellow, brown and yellowish brown concentric rings. Signature scratched on underside of base: "Dillon 2880".
