Description
Laboratory or Pharmacy Jar. Colorless glass; blown, tooled, applied, ground. Tall cylindrical body, thickened rim, ground inside to fit stopper (which is missing); lower end of body hemispherical, with applied band at transition; solid, capstan-shaped stem and flat foot with cut roundel (to remove pontil mark). The jar is filled with chunks of white Tchermigite, aka alum or Deodorant Stone.
