Primary Description: 
Colorless glass, yellow, blue and red enamel, liquid mercury, lead shot, wax, paper and cardboard. Large glass tube housing a graduated paper label, with a thin reed of glass with yellow background for the mercury; held in place internally by the use of what appears to be lead shot and red wax. The outer glass tube has a loop at the top and a red and blue stripe running the length on the back. A Cylindrical two-piece cardboard cylinder holds the thermometer.
