Primary Description: 
Colorless; cut, printed, cold-painted, glued. The left illustration shows two men emersed in conversation. The thin man on the left wears a blue formal jacket and yellow pants; he holds his green hat in his hand; to his left the inscription "La fleur des/ portiers le/ jour de l'an". The fat man on the right is dressed in a yellow house coat, a matching hat with tassel, white shirt, green vest, and red pants. To his right the inscription "Le proprietaire". The scene is followed by a man with a yellow hat and jacket facing right. He is carrying a wicker basket on his back from which is dangling the body of a dead cat. He is prodding with a stick another dead cat lying on the ground. In front of them an arched tombstone; to the top right the inscription "le tombeau des/ chats". On their right a woman with a ruffled green dress, her arms raised in a gesture of despair; to her right the inscription "une femme nerveuse.
