Description
Colorless, transparent blue, amber, opaque black non-lead glasses; fused mosaic of fused cut pieces, cut, ground, polished. Solid symmetrical ring composed of fused slices of glass (placed vertically on narrow edges) forming patchwork of radiating colored irregular bar sections of colorless, blue and amber (sometimes overlapping to form shades of green and yellow), irregular edging of black; object has been cut and ground to form outside perimeter tapered to a sharp edge; overall martelé effect from cutting and grinding, polished satin finish; inscribed on inner surface of hole: "artists logo M (? see object information sheet) '84".
