Paperweight with Millefiori Carpet. Colorless, dark blue, white, polychrome lead glass; paperweight, millefiori; fused murrine; furnace-worked and cased. Domed, circular form, enclosing a "carpeted" dome of blue and white millefiori canes, with inset millefiori canes arranged in two spaced concentric rings around a central cane, including silhouette canes: butterfly, bird, goat, dog, squirrel, and stag, and a cane inscribed "B/1848" inset on the side; polished pontil mark; paper label inscribed "160" in ink.
