Colorless and transparent dark blue lead glass; paperweight, sulphide. Domed, circular form enclosing a molded circular sulphide plaque bearing a male portrait profile, facing left, inscribed "H.R.H. PRINCE / ALBERT." and "BORN AUGUST 26 1819. MARRIED FEBRUARY 10 1840."; inscribed "A & M" on the shoulder plinth; set on a transparent blue ground; polished pontil mark.
