Obverse: prospector with a pack and walking staff, walking to left and standing on oval frame containing "OLD RYE"; inscription "FOR PIKE'S PEAK" above prospector. Reverse: eagle facing left above oval frame containing "PITTSBURGH PA". Edges: vertical seam.
