Primary Description: 
Clear glass; blown and engraved. Deep slightly spreading bowl tapering at bottom to heavy short foot. Decoration around bowl and on base in diamond point scratching and stippling and with some machine stipple additions: eight beasts standing, leaning on shields (lion, dog, goat, horse, dragon, bull, tiger-and-rat (?), unicorn); an order of the Garter motif between each beast near top of bowl and one on base, each lettered: "HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE"; signed: "Elmhurst 1955, No. 290" at bottom.
