Description
Translucent colorless glass with applied gold and pigments. Two-handled vase widens from narrow foot, tapers at neck with slightly flared rim. Handles are just below rim and bottom has been drilled for lamp. Design depicts a camel with rider and a man walking along side within a central panel outlined in gold designs. Vase decorated with various "panels" in gold, bronze and copper with a number of circular designs of stems and leaves. Two larger circular shapes on back feature Arabic initials surrounded by floral motif and swirled design. Other circle shows two pyramids, a bird seated on the sun, and a branch with leaves. Neck, handles and rim are all decorated with floral motif. CM and crown on base.
