Description
Colorless glass cane, spirally wound with opal tinted cane; blown in optic mold and off hand formed. Irregular ovoid shape. Maroon tinted thread decoration below rounded rim; concentric spiral ribbing expands counterclockwise from base to rim; pale opal tinted decoration follows ribbing creating distorted "Z" shape patterns at tops of ribs; ribbing distorted by vertical impressions; ground pontil wad; electric stippled (?) signature: "Chihuly/ 1981" near base. Part B fits within and projects from part A. See photograph.
