Primary Description: 
Colorless glass overlaid with amethyst and opal cane slices; blown. Ovoid shape, short cylindrical, slightly tapering neck; irregular rounded rim, fire-polished; horizontal zig-zag pattern of interlocking rectangular amethyst forms alternate with pale opal forms encircling body of vessel and distorting to nearly vertical stripes on neck; ground and polished flat base, polished pontil, signed in script around pontil: "Ercole Barovier 1958".
