Description
Colorless glass, plate glass has natural green tint; polychrome enamels; blown, broken, sandblasted, enameled, assembled. (a) Vertical rectangular panel with sandblasted (all on reverse side) applied and enameled decoration (on reverse); panel has sandblasted bands in low relief at top and bottom (top band slightly wider) with diagonal alternating striped patterning detailed with gray and blue-green enamel, intruding upon top band are three sandblasted patterned asymmetrical "fragments" each with different geometric patterning and enamel edging (yellow-green, yellow, orange), wide central section of panel is covered with amethyst enamel except at center where three irregular thick curved three-dimensional vessel pieces with same sandblasted patterning as flat "fragments" and enameled backgrounds (graduated yellow-green to yellow to green) are fixed to a sandblasted background vessel shape with golden enamel shadow shape with horizontal fluting that intrudes upon lower band; (b and c) translucent white Plexiglas wall mounts for panel; lower left corner of panel inscribed in script: " c (copyright symbol) Concetta Mason 1986".
