Description
Colorless soda-lime glass; blown, enameled, fumed. Flattened cylindrical shape; rounded rim; enameled decoration on opposing exterior surfaces gives trompe l'oeil impression of a bowl in full round (in pale blue-green with white rim) and of a rod setting in the bowl with rounded yellow top, green center and red bottom; cylindrical shape at base is strongly flattened at top of vessel; rough pontil mark on base; signed on base "R. Meitner 84". The correct orientation for display is to look through the glass at the enameled design.
