Description
Translucent light reddish brown, yellow-green and opaque reddish brown glass; blown, cased, acid-etched, applied, tooled. Vase in form of persian rosewater sprinkler with design of roses, stems and leaves.

Glassworks in France and Bohemia (Czech Republic) were the most well-known producers of European glass in the Art Nouveau style, yet Sweden also briefly produced such glass. In 1914, a designer named Heinrich Wollmann (Bohemian, working in Sweden, 1876-1923) joined the Orrefors glassworks. With Orrefors's master glassblower Knut Bergqvist (Swedish, 1873-1953), Wollmann created overlaid and cameo cut glass vases that were derived from the work of the renowned French designer Emile Gallé (French, 1846-1904).
