Description
Vessel Shaped Like Boot. Colorless or almost colorless; blown, applied. Vessel shaped like calf-length boot. Rim plain, with rounded lip; leg (Th. 0.1 cm) cylindrical, tapering slightly; foot roughly triangular, with rounded heel and narrow upturned toe; pontil mark is beneath leg and consists of irregular gouge. Applied decoration comprising two trails extends from just below rim, down back of leg and onto heel: (1) longer trail forms rigaree pattern of nine loops on back of leg; (2) much shorter trail is flattened on back and underside of heel.
