Description
Colorless soda lime glass, ochre, red, blue, green and black enamels and paint; blown, sandblasted, enameled, fired, painted, Krylon spray coating. Irregular asymmetrical thinly-blown vessel with stem and foot formed from trailed "vines" decorated with applied and crimped leaves; folded bowl colored ochre with black dry brush strokes on interior and exterior, small raised pontil on bowl base, one side of bowl decorated with applied green/black vines (overall drawn lines) with blue/purple leaves that spill over edge into interior; stem formed of thick hollow wrapped tubular stem (two burst air bubbles) pigmented red with black brushwork; thinner green and black vinework with leaves extends from bowl and over stem to form base with three feet polished flat; inscribed in script on bowl pontil: "Susan Rankin/ 1990/V21".
