Description
Colorless lead glass; blown, cut, stipple-engraved. Ovoid bowl, stipple-engraved with a birth scene, with the mother in bed, two nurses nearby, while a third presents the baby to the father, enclosed in an elaborate scrollwork and floral surround; petal and panel cutting at the base of the bowl, merging into hexagonal cutting on the straight stem; conical foot with rough pontil mark.
