Mt. Washington and Pairpoint: American Glass from the Gilded Age to the Roaring

This exhibition is entitled, “Mt. Washington and Pairpoint: American Glass from the %%Gilded%% Age to the Roaring Twenties.” The Mt. Washington Glass Company and its successor, the Pairpoint Corporation, were in existence for 100 years, from 1837 until 1938. Together, they created a large variety of tableware and lighting for middle- and upper-class homes. All of their glass was hand-blown and hand-decorated. From the 1880s until the 1920s, the company was at the height of its production, creating a huge variety of glass.
