Amy Waldman-Smith has been making glass beads since 2001.  She has been regularly teaching lampwork techniques at the BeadFX Studio in Toronto, Ontario, Canada since 2003. Waldman-Smith also teaches intermediate and advanced glassworking classes across Canada and the United States. She is largely self-taught, and continues to study art and glassmaking. Waldman-Smith served as the Regional Director for Canada for the ISGB for two terms (2007–2009 and 2011-2013). Her beads have been in exhibits and venues across North America, and her work has been featured in Glass Line Magazine, The Flow Magazine, 1000 Glass Beads, and numerous others.
