Brian Kerkvliet has been working with glass since 1977 and has taught workshops in Canada, New Zealand, Australia, and the United States. He has been a teaching assistant and a scholarship recipient at the Pilchuck Glass School. He now operates Gossamer Glass Studios at Inspiration Farms, a hot glass and lampworking studio in Bellingham, WA, where he focuses on lampworking and on furnace-blown pieces with lampworked imagery. His work was recently included in the National Geographic Society's exhibition "A Touch of Glass," and it can be found in many public and private collections. Kerkvliet has written a bead and lampworking column for Glass Art Magazine.
