Everett Hirche has been working with glass since he was 18 years old. After graduating from the Appalachian Center for Crafts in Tennessee with a BFA, Everett completed a one-year residency at the Pittsburgh Glass Center. There, he enjoyed making his own work, as well as production glass.
Immediately after his residency, Everett spent a couple years working in North Carolina, building glassblowing equipment and making glass, which is represented in several galleries in the United States. He also has worked on staff at Pilchuck Glass School in a variety of capacities. Everett currently works for the Glass at Sea Program most of the year, and makes production/personal work during his time back in the States.
