Biography: Frantisek Janák
Frantisek Janák is a freelance glass artist. He is a retired professor of the Secondary School of Glassmaking in Kamenicky Senov, Czech Republic, and during his varied career he has held many roles including that of a glass designer. Janák studied at the Academy of Applied Arts in Prague under Stanislav Libenskỳ. In 2000, he spent a year as visiting professor at the Rochester Institute of Technology. His works are in both private and public collections worldwide including the Glasmuseet Ebeltoft in Denmark and the Museum of Glass in Tacoma, WA.
