Biography: Lauren Hunt
Lauren Hunt, whose work is inspired by traditional Venetian forms and techniques, has been working with glass since 2008. She graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a BFA, predominately studying under Emilio Santini and Jack Wax. Immediately after graduating, Lauren moved to Corning, NY, to work at The Studio of The Corning Museum of Glass, assisting guests with Make Your Own Glass experiences. Through The Studio’s scholarship program, she attended one- and two-week intensive glassworking classes, and further honed her skills by assisting local glass artists. Lauren currently works as a glassblower and narrator for the Hot Glass Show at the Museum and aboard Celebrity Cruises.
