Biography: Lenka Nováková
Czech artist Lenka Nováková explores light through sculpture. She uses cast glass, film and ephemeral media (such as air or water) in her work, creating environments that explore issues of visual perception. She used her residency at The Studio to examine the relationship between vision and perception, by producing multiple variations of glass lenses in different shapes and sizes. Using these lenses, she examined how perception of objects and images becomes altered through illusion produced by the lenses.
