Robert Swidergal began his glass career as an art student at Southern Illinois University. After he received his degree, he continued his development as gaffer for Budda Buckka Glassworks until 1985 when he relocated to Seattle. There he worked as a production studio gaffer for more than 20 years while following his own artistic pursuits. He considers his work to be more cerebral than emotional, and more whimsical than classical. He currently resides with his family in rural Washington State.
