Victor Trabucco began working with glass in 1974 after seeing a flameworker make a sculpture. He knew this was what he wanted to do for his life’s work. Trabucco says that “Glass is the ultimate challenge; it has properties of no other material and offers the artist possibilities that are inspiring for the creative process. As technical problems are solved, it offers the artist more latitude for artistic expression.” His work is often inspired by nature, capturing the beauty and motion of the subject and freezing a moment in time. He strives to make his work look effortless while executing control of this difficult material, making the finished sculpture communicate beauty and emotion.
