This course will guide students through basic glassblowing techniques with exercises, examples, and teamwork. The class will introduce students to the tools and workings of the hot shop. Students will learn how to gather, shape, and anneal glass, and will explore techniques necessary to create paperweights, simple solid sculptures, and basic blown vessels. No glassworking experience is required.
