Borosilicate Marbles: Tiny Worlds Within
Through demonstration and ample experimentation, students will explore some of the basics for making a borosilicate marble, such as basic encasement and tubing implosions, to create a tiny world within. Materials used may include gold, silver, copper, dichroic glass, Herkimer diamond, volcanic pebbles, and a wide spectrum of colored glass. Student questions will guide the demonstrations and discussion topics. All levels. Some torch experience preferred but not necessary.
