During this class, students will experiment with cold-working and engraving techniques. Cold-working techniques—such as grinding, polishing, the use of horizontal mill wheels and vertical lathes, and cutting with stone and diamond—will be used to create constructions from glass. There will be individual instruction and demonstrations by the instructors, as well as ample hands-on engraving and cold working time to allow students to achieve their individual goals. No glassworking experience is required; advanced students also are welcome.
