In this class, students will work with blank glass and learn a variety of cold working techniques, including cutting, grinding, carving, laminating, and polishing. Various surface finishes also will be demonstrated. Students will explore problem solving in the cold working studio, common mistakes, and efficient ways to cold work glass. Students will learn how to prepare glass surfaces for laminating, adhesives, and general HXTAL lamination set up. Some glassworking experience is suggested; advance students also are welcome.
