All Levels
One-Week Session

This class will teach you how to create sculptures and vessels in colored borosilicate glass. Pieces will be made using different sculpting techniques, and various methods for blowing hollow forms, such as stoppered bottles, ornaments, beads, and jewelry. The instructors will demonstrate cane decoration and patterns, different ways of using commercial colors, gold and silver fuming, and techniques for hand mixing color from oxide formulas. You are encouraged to come with ideas of interesting subjects in mind, or problems to solve. No glassworking experience is required; advanced students are also welcome.
