This course is for advanced students who would like to improve their techniques of blowing glass using flameworking. Students will learn traditional approaches for creating Venetian-style goblets, using borosilicate glass and a variety of techniques, including color application, filigree, gold leaf, incalmo, air trapped bubbles, and hot assembly. Students are encouraged to bring drawings, projects, images, and ideas to discuss. Two years of flameworking experience are required.
