In this class, students will explore geometric shapes, repeating patterns, and tessellations in fused glass. Students will learn methods for designing, measuring, and laying out shapes and patterns, while practicing and refining their glass-cutting skills. They will also make simple molds for creating shaped murrine and learn basic cold-working techniques, as they increase their understanding of kiln-forming processes. No glassworking experience is required; advanced students also are welcome.
