Glass engraving, whether as a primary glassworking technique or as a complement to one’s work, no longer needs to be traditional in style or content. In this class, students will experiment with a variety of engraving techniques (wheel, drill, diamond point, sandblast) on many types of glass—flat, blown, clear, and color overlaid—seeking specific combinations to suit their needs. The class will feature ample one-on-one instruction and reference to the Museum’s collection. No glassworking experience is required; advanced students also are welcome.
