Glass Engraving

June 23 - July 4, 2014
Cold Working
All Levels
Two-Week Session

Glass engraving, whether as a primary glassworking technique or as a complement to your work, no longer needs to be traditional in style or content. In this class, you will experiment with a variety of engraving techniques (wheel, drill, diamond point, sandblast) on many types of glass—flat, blown, clear, and color overlaid—seeking specific combinations to suit your needs. The class will feature ample one-on-one instruction and reference to the Museum’s collection. No glassworking experience is required; advanced students also are welcome.
