June 2 - 7, 2014
Season:
Summer
Technique:
Glassblowing
Level:
Intermediate
Duration:
One-Week Session

As makers, we all go about the glassmaking process through different, yet similar means, making different, yet similar things. In this class, we will develop good posture and stance, efficient motion, and team cohesion. Through understanding how to move, glassmaking becomes more enjoyable, and more refined. We will focus on some basic shapes and approaches, but the primary focus of the class is to develop a way of working. We’ll work at this together: learning, failing, and ultimately triumphing. Bring your tools, a sketchbook, a pen and pencil, and a willingness to expose through making. One year of glassblowing experience is required.
